Usually I’m not picky about notebooks, but I have a soft spot for these. There’s something very satisfying about the feel of the paper – it’s thicker than normal and noticeably smooth, which makes for an easy writing experience. I tend to take a lot of notes (it’s the journalist in me), so I appreciate anything that makes my frantic writing a little more comfortable. The covers are glossy, durable (I’ve had the purple notebook for at least 10 years, and it looks new), and come in distinctive colors with subtle patterning. The price point is sometimes a bit more than I want to pay, but when the stationary store in my hometown went out of business, I stocked up on their remaining notebooks – so I’m set for a little while now.
