I’m a big mountain biker, and I received this helmet as a present a few years back. Its relatively new design technology, Aerocore, allows for extreme light weight and breath-ability, while reducing force transmission and using more recyclable materials (not foams). The honeycomb motif provides almost no restriction in airflow and there is an easy-to-adjust full-head fit system. The helmet also comes with GoPro/ tech mounts. The honeycomb structures are designed to buckle under load, and absorb more impact compared to traditional helmet designs. Not to mention, the helmet comes in a lot fun colors and looks pretty cool.
The first thing I noticed when I rode with the helmet was its lightness. It feels like nothing is on your head, and with the extreme breath-ability, it really is the most comfortable helmet I’ve ever owned- by a long shot. By comparison, my road bike helmet feels like a dense foam ball, so I am now saving-up for the road bike version (Overtake). In addition, the helmet is not overly expensive ($165-$220) considering it is one of the highest quality and most effective ways to protect your noggin.
