I’ve had this beautiful watch for a couple weeks now, and thought I’d do a post about its design and history.

Back in 2010, Seiko teamed up with Ishigaki Shinobu, Japan’s “top bartender”,
to produce a line of upper-mainstream watches. Shinobu-San designed three “Cocktail Time” watches, named after different flavors: SARB065 was
“Cool”, SARB066 “Dry”, and the limited (to 300 pieces) SARB068 “Sweet”.
The model that I have is the SARB065 “Cool”.

The Cocktail time features a dome shaped crystal that refracts light beautifully onto it’s gorgeous dial. The dial is white with a subtle blue tint, complementing the pale blue seconds hand. The use of chiselled edges on the hands, hour markers, and dial really brings together the design.

Finally, the Cocktail time gives you a peek at it’s fine automatic movement with a transparent case back- rare at this price point.
