For this challenge, I created a series of icons, modified a logo, and created a background picture. First, I made a series of transportation icons since I study transportation. I particularly wanted to practice tracing, so I picked images that took some effort and detail. The icons are an airplane, sailboat, and shinkansen (Japanese bullet train).
I also modified the Trip Advisor icon to make it simpler and sleeker, cutting down the number of colors. Below I show the existing logo (left) and my modified logo (right).
I also modified a photo for a background. This is a shot I took out of the bak of a train. I cropped it, straightened it, played with the colors, and made the picture pale so that text could be overlaid on top of it.
