I am the owner of a 2011 MacBook Pro, arguably the pinnacle of recent “pro” MacBooks. The interal upgradability, durability, reliability of components, great trackpad, and great tactile keyboard feel. I have used this computer for 5 years, and it shows no signs of slowing down, even as I use resource-intensive graphics software, photo-editing software, music engraving software, and work with massive PDFs. Ever since this computer was made, progress on making processors more powerful has stagnated. Therefore, while computers have gotten more expensive and less upgradable, my computer continue to chug along.
