Skiplagged is a website that finds the cheapest airline
tickets in an innovative way. Created in 2014, Skiplagged finds all flights
between two locations including “hidden flights” – flights where your intended
destination is the layover city. The idea is that often if a passenger is
trying to fly from city A to city B, a flight from city A to city C with a
layover in city B is often cheaper than a direct flight from city A to city B.
Skiplagged allows passengers to book these “hidden flights” and end their trip
in the layover city. This process is entirely legal; however, airlines are
beginning to crack down on passengers who frequently take advantage of this
loophole.
