The Big Picture is a news app that tells the big stories of the day primarily through photos. When entering the app users can pick from four categories of news: world, sports, entertainment, and science (the four categories can be changed based on individual preference). Within each category users can then read through 3 top articles. In this example we are able to tell the story of Roger Federer defeating Rafael Nadal (his rival) in the Australian open. Though the story is a bit simplistic, telling the story through photos makes them accessible and a breeze to read.
