The answer that occurs to me instinctively when people ask me how I am is “tired.” I rarely feel as well-rested as I probably should given the number of hours of sleep that I get on a typical night. I came across this innovative alarm clock the other day, and I suspect that it might be the answer to my problem. The Philips Wake-Up Light simulates the sun’s natural light, which is supposed to make the transition from asleep to awake more pleasant than a shrieking alarm clock. The light gradually changes over a period of about forty minutes and then eventually wakes you up with a gentle alarm. I think that it’s a great idea, and I would be very curious to try it.
