While these chairs may look uncomfortable, they continue to draw a campus worth of students to Kirkland dining hall every lunch and dinner. At these times, all I want is one of these chairs for myself. As a Kirkland resident, I can say that I spend an unreasonable amount of time every night in them eating food and attempting to do homework. Even though these sturdy chairs are completely stiff and cage-shaped, they have a cradle effect and support multiple seating/lounging positions. With a backpack or coat to pad the back and bottom, this is a very comfortable chair for long term sitting.
