I resolved to start packing my lunch more often this semester to cut down on food costs. I knew if I invested a little money up front in a lunch box I was actually excited to use, I would be more likely to stick with my plan, and I’d earn that money back in the long run. This owl lunch box fit the bill. It has freezer packs embedded in the lining, so there’s no fussing around with bulky, inconvenient ice packs. I simply pop it in the freezer at the end of the day, and it’s ready to go in the morning. The slim profile is big enough to fit everything I need but small enough to slip into my backpack. I’ve always had a soft spot for owls (the mascot of my alma mater, Bryn Mawr), and I recently had an encounter with a gorgeous snowy owl, so they’ve been on my mind more than usual.
