I love this lamp for its whimsy. It’s an entertaining concept, executed tastefully and presented simply. It’s playful. It plays with the gravity defying wonderment that makes you look twice at a trinket on someone’s desk. It plays with, in a kind of tongue-in-cheek way, the penchant in contemporary interior design for bold colors and mismatched statement pieces of furniture. The lamp doesn’t take itself too seriously, and for that reason can be dressed up or down across a range of styles and ages. Plus, the customization of paint and bucket color is just a nice plus.
