One of my favorite Indian designer’s is Sabyasachi. He is a Bengali designer whose collections employ traditional embroidery techniques. Here I have only included one part of an outfit by him. Just within this small composition  there is so much detail, yet it is also simplistic in nature. With only two colors, green and cream, the contrast is perfect. But what is more impressive is that the beautiful phul (or flowers) is actually a single stitch known as kashida, which is an embroidery technique from Kashmir, an area of the world famous for cashmere and pashmina.
