Slack is the ultimate productivity software. I used it last summer when I worked for a startup, and it was super easy to communicate with my teammates and manage that communication. Slack is super powerful, easy to use and learn how to use, and makes lots of things that are hard to do with email easy (such as have an search through a conversation quickly).
