No Man’s Sky is a video game that I’m super super excited about (it will come out later this year). The premise of the game is exploration. No Man’s Sky features an infinite universe (with 18 quintillion planets) and the point of the game is to simply travel from planet to planet, discovering new places, new species, learning about the history of each planet, etc. I love the idea of this game because of my love for science fiction, fantasy, and exploration. I’m a huge fan of open-world games where you get to make decisions about the course of the story (see Skyrim and Fallout) but this takes that to a new level. The graphics are also beautiful (watch the video).
