Finding a great fitting shirt is hard, particularly for many male athletes. State and Liberty, a clothing company launched by two former University of Michigan Hockey players focuses on specifically solving this problem. They are incredibly form fitting without being too tight – it’s as though they have been tailored straight out of the package.
S&L also uses athletic performance fabric for their shirts, which gives them a unique, comfortable feel. The material is “moisture wicking, temperature regulating, odor resistant, [and] wrinkle free…” The shirts thoroughly back these claims up.
For me, that is the beauty of S&L shirts. They account for the several frustrating activities that come with finding, wearing, and maintaining quality dress shirts for men with athletic builds. Good design in this context is making sure that from the opening of the package onward, the wearer is pleased by the experience.
