I bought this while I was in Hong Kong for a consulting project last summer (2015). It is from a store called The Armoury, which crafts and curates high quality apparel and accessories for men. Abbeyhorn, founded in 1749, is the brand that makes this specific shoehorn for The Armoury. It is made out of oxhorn, so no two pieces are the same. This one has a beautiful white “blemish” on it which I find very distinctive.
I wish I had bought this in a longer size (it would be more practical) but because I was travelling I could not fit a larger item in my carry-on. While the functionality and aesthetics of the product resonate with me, it more importantly serves as a tangible reminder of fond memories in Hong Kong alongside one of my very good friends.
