Its metal body makes it durable and gives it enough weight to make it stable when drawing or writing. Its retractable tip protects the tip from my pocket and vice versa, and stops the lead from breaking when not in use. The grip is nicely textured, making it comfortable to hold. The shape and metal makes it easy to find by touch, when digging through a pencil bag or desk for example.
