We found the chair with its fabric ripped and its inner stuffing flat and deteriorating. This had to be a full reupholstering project. We removed all the old fabric and much of the stuffing from the chair. We chose a brighter, colorful cloth to give the chair a happier, more memorable appearance. We also added new stuffing in order to make the back and the bottom of the chair more comfortable. We felt that the chair’s sides were unnecessary, and tended to get in the way more than be useful, so we chose to forego them when reassembling the chair.
