Neri & Hu is my favorite design and research office in China. Their designs use the contemporary language yet at the same time convey a classical aesthetics. They quoted Antoine De Saint Exupery’s words “We don’t ask to be eternal beings, we only ask that things do not lose all their meaning” as the beginning for their philosophy statement. To me, a great design has spirit.
