This is a Kickstarter campaign for a card game called “exploding kittens” 

Regardless of whether anyone actually wants to play this game, they want to own it because it is a funny, covetable item. Almost everyone loves kittens, almost everyone loves (imaginary) explosions, and the absurd intersection between the two creates a playful and funny thing to show to others, whether in person or in a hyperlink.
