The variety of fabrics here were chosen for their neutral, natural shades and their tactile quality. Each is soft and organic in its own way, and together they are meant to suggest a quiet evening in the wilderness. The harsh pink is a contradiction in both color and material, and its origins are patently unnatural. The pink is manmade and at odds with its surroundings, but it is also festive and exciting. I sometimes go climbing in the woods, and my gear has to be conspicuously colored in order for me to keep track of it. Outdoor companies often use neon in their clothing and equipment, which contradicts the natural landscape in both an unnerving and exhilarating way.
