I grew up using these bad boys (aka wooden, disposable chopsticks). My mom always had at least 3 packets of them in the house, though we always used metal, reusable chopsticks for all of our meals. During the times when our dishwasher broke or was too full, and life just was too complicated, wooden chopsticks were the best means to get what we wanted: food in our bellies. In our home, wooden chopsticks served multiple purposes–my mom would use them frequently to close the blinds she couldn’t quite reach, a doorstop, and once, I used them for a engineering project. In a world that desires products that do more than they’re set out to and are disposable (while still being biodegradable), wooden chopsticks are king.
