Pocket watches have been outdated for a very long time now, and only those yearning for the 1920s or Steampunk enthusiasts carry them around. They’re not easier to access nor lighter than their on wrist counterparts.
But since wristwatches are have already been replaced with smartphones, we decided that revisiting this old standard would provide an interesting opportunity for development. To check the time with a pocket watch, one pulls it out of their pocket, drawing immediate attention – a perfect place to display a status symbol. This watch combines futuristic technology (a bright LED face in a matte black rubberized casing) with an old product concept, creating a item that evokes the same feelings as luxury watches today, but rather embraces digital technology instead of shunning it.
This man’s clothing has evokes similar feelings as that of our watch. A classic item (eastern / ninja clothing) but taken to an extreme degree of technical precision. One could see him opening his jacket to reveal this watch.
