Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen offers an interesting model for an urban amusement park. The second oldest amusement park in the world, it is located directly in the city center of Copenhagen. It fills an entire city block but is unobtrusive–the entire park is hidden behind buildings that line the perimeter of the block, so it is almost invisible from the outside. It is often used as a regular park and has a range of possible activities, from typical amusement park rides to gardens and restaurants.
