As a user of the Jawbone UP activity tracker, I’m well aware of the limitations on what the UP can measure. For example, when I ride my bike, that activity cannot be measured, and I can’t even wear the UP when swimming, since UP is not waterproof. All that changes with the Amiigo waterproof activity tracker, which purports to measure not only various types of activities from yoga to weightlifting, but also heart rate, body temperature, and blood-oxygen level. The Amiigo is desirable because it claims to do what no other product currently does, giving one more control in tracking one’s day-to-day activities and health. It also cannot be purchased right now (currently only available to its Indiegogo investors). Oh, the anticipation!
