I think that jetBlue has a particularly effective marketing strategy. At a time when most airlines are drastically cutting down on the “perks” that we used to associate with air travel (e.g. “free” food/beverage, entertainment such as movies and magazines, etc.), jetBlue is providing customers with things that other airlines don’t have like the “Snooze Kit” shown above for red eye flights. Also, little touches like serving blue potato chips, showing free television, etc. makes the airline seem like it’s going above and beyond to serve costumers.
