This launching pad elevated his career very quickly and he back the Creative Dircectors for both Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent (now called Saint Laurent). Before his 35th birthday, his selling sex platform had him designing for 16 shows a year. The phrase, “Sex Sells” has been around for a long time, but through the overt use of sex, nudity, and saturation, Tom Ford’s ads, brands, and designs became iconic.
