Every fall, when CS50 projects come out, one or two of the 400+ projects turns out to be a big hit on campus. The best projects to “go viral” on campus usually address some Harvard specific/local need. One of the first to explode was I Saw You Harvard, which came out in Fall ’10. While now it’s kind of a wasteland of spam and drivel, when it debuted it immediately became one of the most talked about and used sites on campus, probably because it effectively addressed the emotional needs and experiences of many Harvard students: vanity, vulnerability  hopefulness, romanance, etc.
