What I’ve Got: Haze iOS Weather App

Haze is the next app in a string of recent releases that redesign basic iOS apps into more visual, gesture-based experiences. With Haze, the amount of sunlight, chance of precipitation and current temperature are displayed as floating bubbles on adjacent swipe-able pages. Flow lines moving up or down the page indicate the direction of trend from each into the next. At the top of the screen, a visual overview of the week’s weather is shown, encoded both in color and in the height of the bubbles.

All in all, Haze is a simple, intuitive, visual app. For me, this embodies and modernizes the most desirable elements of iOS that made me first fall in love with the iPhone. Hopefully Apple gets the memo..
