Neatly presented food is something I often get inspired by. This is because it allows me to see the new in something deeply familiar. While most of the time, most ingredients are known, their combination, presentation and arrangement can allow for new ideas, textures, flavours or combinations that inspire me to try new things at home, or, sometimes, even change the way one “thinks” about the flavour of certain ingredients. More than that, the attention to detail and presentation allows people to focus on what they are eating, slow down and get immersed in an experience that, in many ways, is very mundane and often taken for granted.
