While getting off a JetBlue flight at John F. Kennedy international airport, I encountered JetBlue’s metronap. These seats come with a rotational visor meant for taking naps in the waiting area of your gate. These seat ergonomic, come with a built in speaker, black out visor and a timer such that the chair can wake you up in an appropriate time. I think this is a brilliant design because I personally love sleeping as I travel and to have a more comfortable seat to sleep in that I don’t feel like people are looking at me is amazing. My one critique of these metronaps is how little actually populate the waiting area which doesn’t fully meet population needs.
