Beer is one of my WIG’s because it is easily one of my greatest passions in the world. I know a lot of college students probably claim that, but I genuinely love every single aspect of beer. As one of the oldest beverages in the world Beer is fascinating. The process of taking the sugars from grains and then allowing yeast to not only create the alcohol but also carbonate the beer is incredible. Brewers have less agency than the yeast. As a live organism, the yeast is fully in charge. All brew masters are doing is trying to create the best possible environment for the yeast to do its work.
