Packing cubes are small compartments designed to organize and compress its contents to ensure an optimize use of space. It wasn’t until I started using them that I realized just how much space I was wasting in my suitcases—and as someone from California who has to do a lot of traveling to get to and from Boston, it’s really important to me that I optimize the space I do have in my suitcases. Another added benefit is that they serve as organizational tools as well—now, I can separate what I pack by category. Instead of blindly tossing everything in a suitcase together, similar items are now in the same place.
