The Seabin project is a tube that sits in the ocean, sucks in trash surrounding it to be collected but doesn’t catch or harm sea animals. The tube has an inner net which gets emptied periodically as a way to help remove trash from the ocean. I think this project is a great design because the SeaBin doesn’t cause a large disruption in the daily movements of the ocean while tackling a growing issue. The design is also small enough to be implemented in multiple locations without much difficulty and increases access to a singular person being able to help clean up our oceans.
