The tampon is an invention that brilliantly affects so many people daily. I cannot imagine women being able to do all that they are able to, without it. Before this assignment, I had always assumed that it was a relatively recent invention, but have learned that some version of the tampon has been used for thousands of years. And this only proves how necessary of an invention it is. The modern design was created about 100 years ago. The design is so clever in the way that it is affective, easy to use, and portable. It stops such a large portion of the population from being restrained by a natural biological process and has become an integral part of maintaining routine.
