Google Photos has solved and streamlined the issues with photo storage I’ve faced. It automatically backs up photos from your phone and computer with no storage limit, and instantly organizes them for you, allowing you to search by face or subject. It even creates animations and movies for you, and gives you memories of your photos that you took years ago on a given day of the year. I have friends who are extremely wary of uploading all of their photos to Google Photos because of the amount of data stored in those photos. I would like to do more research on the implications of this, but Google Photos is really the only existing solution with enough storage space for me to organize and house all of my photos. It has allowed me to quickly gather photos of a person to create things like a collage, slideshow, or video on their birthday, and it has allowed me to quickly share tons of photos with friends through shared albums.
