Humidifiers have become modern essentials for dry environments and are particularly popular during the winter season in cold regions. However, one of the most frustrating things about a humidifier is that the water reservoir tank requires regular disinfecting in order to limit the accumulation of microorganisms. This is a necessary procedure because if it isn’t followed, users are at a higher risk for respiratory illnesses due to the increased likelihood of bacteria and viruses being present in a humidifier. To solve this problem, ultraviolet humidifiers use ultraviolet light to kill virtually all harmful pathogens in reservoir water which eliminates the need to constantly clean the reservoir tank.
