Having a hand warmer can be a great help against the cold winter in Boston. For people like me who refuse to wear gloves even in -10 degrees celcius, a hand warmer is an excellent alternative. They are tiny enough to fit inside a pocket, and usually lasts around 3 to 4 hours, long enough to keep your hands warm while you are outside. There are different types of hand warmers that have different operations, such as ones that heat up when you shake them, or the ones you can use multiple times when you heat it up in a microwave. Their packaging also comes in various forms, ranging from famous cartoon characters to cute, humorous expressions like the one in the picture. I usually carry a hand warmer in my pocket during the winer, and it does a great job of keeping my hands warm.
