I’m not really a bargain hunger, but I like getting a good deal as much as the next person. That’s why I downloaded Honey—a Google Chrome extension that automatically finds and applies coupon codes for you. Essentially, it pops up on your screen when you get to the checkout of an online store, and and scours the web for coupons. It is almost a mindless step for the user (why not see if there is a discount available?) and it automatically applies the best coupon code to your basket after it looks at all available. It also allows you to see all the coupons available for a store, which could be helpful if, for example, you are $5 away from an online promotion. I appreciate the design of this extension because it has streamlined the process of getting a discount, it’s easy to use, and it is effective.
