Cozmo is a new robot developed by Anki that acts more like a new pet. It’s loaded with cutting-edge artificial intelligence that learns through its human interactions. Initially, Cozmo is hyperactive and only wants to play games (the product comes with a set of building blocks), however, it constantly evolves the more time you spend with it. Cozmo actively expresses its personality and mood through “yelling” and “squinting” its eyes. The anthropomorphic design of Cozmo — eyes and expression of emotion — serves to make it more compatible with humans. In short, this robot seems to offer a 21st century alternative to having a pet, but it is far off from replacing human’s best companion.
