I’ve been crafting this spring break, and I discovered the magic of tan-colored blank pages in a notebook, photo album, or decorating book. The tan color is neutral but not as stark as typical white pages. Because it is still a color, the tan seems less like negative space. So, when I’m crafting, I can fill less of the page. This allows me to have the simple aesthetic of a clean and uncluttered page without the sense of complete emptiness and blank space. The color also evokes feelings of naturalness – something organic and warm, as opposed to the sterile distance of blank white pages. I’m very excited to keep working with this paper.
