This past December, I had a layover in Oslo and loved the modern design of the airport. Therefore, I wanted to learn more about the design philosophy. The Oslo airport was designed with environmental concerns in mind and is one of the most energy efficient airports in the world.

It features low-carbon technologies, such as district heating and natural thermal energy. Additionally, it features curved glulam beams, and the shape of the airport is designed to effectively use passive solar energy and sunlight. I love how the airport has incorporated environmental design in an aesthetically clean, modern look.
