Originally, the creator of the reusable adhesive, Spencer Silver, was trying to make a super-strong adhesive in 1968. However, he ended up with a product that was able to adhere paper to an object without leaving a trace. The desirability of this product is seen through the versatility and endless possibilities posed by the Post-It Note.
