In my own fine art work I enjoy working with found imagery, often collaging images to create new meaning and substance. I recently came across the art of Ben Branagan in a profile on It’s Nice That. Two of his recent works, “Possible Disasters Vol. 1″ and “Bodies” I find particularly appealing and inspiring for my own work. The architectural pieces that he creates around furniture in “Possible Disasters” opens up a different way of envisioning design in a fantasy 2D space, as well as the simple, yet elegant redesigning of the Schwartzenegger ads with a consistent graphic (a circle) following the pages throughout.
