“Netflixing” has become synonymous with watching TV and movies in today’s day and age. When a product becomes its own verb form, you know it is doing something right. Netflix is desirable for a number of reasons. First, it is convenient–hundreds of movies and TV shows are presented in one place, where you can browse according to any genre your heart desires. Second, it feels like less of a financial burden than a service like iTunes. Unlike iTunes, where each additional TV show or movie costs $1.99, the subscription style payment system of Netflix makes people more dedicated to the service once subscribed. Finally, the ease of use afforded by the simple interface makes the system understandable for almost anyone. All of this makes Netflix one of the most successful products of today.
