Recently the 3D printing industry has been all abuzz, as David Tisch commented. This 3D printed dress pushes the envelope of what can be printed and might become an icon in its own right. 

The dress was made from 17 types of 3D printed pieces hinged together by 3000 pins by NYC – based architect Francis Bitonti and designer Michael Schmidt. Relating to last week’s iconic challenge, this dress applies the latest technology in a new area, fashion, and the design is eye-catching, futuristic, and provocative.
