Challenge 7: Unlock

We look for them, we fumble with them to get indoors every single day, and if we lose them, we have to change our locks to ensure that thieves don’t use them to take advantage of us. Simply put, they’re outdated, and there must be a better way to filter who does and doesn’t get into your house. Meanwhile, we’ve been using fingerprint technology to identify criminals since the 1930s. Why not use it to safely identify homeowners?

Introducing Unlock. It uses handprint identification to open doors with a single-motion press of the hand. If it’s your door, it opens. If not, the doorbell rings.
