I saw this on a friend’s blog and just had to share it. This is not a digitally manipulated image, but rather a carved piece of furniture designed to appear as if it were a glitch. There is something fascinating about this- it is made with traditional luxury craftsmanship, but it is also made to look like a big mistake. I am not quite sure how to describe it, it is almost like an inverse trompe-l’œil, but I find it delightful.
