A close friend of mine, Becky Cooper, released a book today called “Mapping Manhattan: A Love (and Sometimes Hate) Story in Maps by 75 New Yorkers.” It’s a collection of personal maps of Manhattan from native and notable New Yorkers. It is highly desirable because in the vein of similar projects like “Post Secret” or “Dear Photo,” it gives people the chance to add to community in a personal way. My map, “Off the Grid” is the second to last map in the book, also found in this New York Times magazine article about the project!
