I think education and parenting topics often go viral (ex.Tiger Mom and Diet Mom) because people have very strong opinions on the best way to educate and parent children today. One infographic that I saw as most popular on iwastesomuchtime.com and I saw on reddit was this graphic about Finland’s Education system (see below).
I think why this infographic went viral because 1) the title “No Homework in Finland” creates interest on what the results are for their education system because it is something so common in our education system, 2) very simple graphics make it easy to scroll through and get the meanings, and 3) the subheadings are to understand and see the logic behind their order which leads to their conclusion.
